  • Phu Quoc Airport (10/5 Friday)

We left from KUL to PQC at around 12.50pm and got to Phu Quoc airport around 2.30pm. Once we landed, we sorted out two taxis for the seven of us, and we already had the deal set up with the hotel. Since there are 7 of us and loads of luggage, it's best to grab 2 taxis to have enough space for all of us. The airport is quite sendu like ghost town sebab macam takde benda yang menarik to go around. Then we headed straight to the hotel to check in. Around 3 macam tu sampai hotel, check in and solat semua settle then decide untuk gerak ke Sunset Town around 4pm macam tu with the same taxi.

Basically, the driver dekat sana very friendly and easy to deal lah. We deal personally dengan grab yang pickup us from the airport. Once we have their number anything just WhatsApp them, the fee base on grab fee. Buka grab then tengok berapa harga yang dicaj then deal dengan grab driver tu sendiri. Then we negotiate from there lah. The tips are, no matter what please negotiate huhu, dealing with them is a piece of cake because they are so friendly and easy to negotiate with. Since there are 7 of us, we just grabbed a 7-seater instead of taking two taxis, which could have been more expensive.

  • Sunset Town (10/5 Friday)
  • Ticket Fee: Free

The Grab took us to Sunset Town. Since the attraction was spread out and required a lot of walking, we decided to rent motor. We ended up renting 3 motor for the 7 of us. We sorted it out with the Grab driver to help us arrange the motor rentals. Actually, grab driver ni akan dealkan dengan geng2 dia juga, sama2 tolong cari makan. Tak menyesal sewa motor, its quite worth it jugalah sebab Sunset Town tu besar gila, so bila ada motor ni best sikit nak pusing2.

Depending on when you visit or what time of day it is, Sunset Town can get quiet with fewer people around, making it seem a bit like a ghost town and giving it that nickname. Sunset town ni cantik sebab dia style ala2 bandar Europe. every corner is picturesque. Memang banyak spot untuk take picture, cantik gila. Plus there are so many café yang cantik2, like cantik sangat kedai diaorang tapi.. mcam tak banyak sambutan. Dia tak secrowded macam Bukit Bintang ke, Bukit Bendera ke like kosong gila. Banyak banggunan tu tak semuanya occupied, like banyak gila kedai kosong. Lebih kurang macam Agacia Town, Kampar Perak. Macam set untuk lakonan pun ada juga. Well atleast kitaorang have fun, best je tak crowded, boleh layan petang2 tu naik motor.

  • Lotus Home Cafe & Kiss The Sea Show (10/5 Friday)
  • Ticket Fee: Free

After exploring the town, we stopped by Lotus Home Café dekat dalam area Sunset Town juga, a lovely café we spotted during our stroll. We grabbed some coffee there, which turned out to be the tastiest on the whole island! The Salted Caramel and Coconut coffees were absolutely delicious. Kitaorang lepak for a while sementara tunggu show firework Kiss the Sea. Well, you need to buy a ticket to watch the show, but it's a bit expensive. So, we opted to catch a glimpse of the show from outside the area instead. At least we got to see some of it huhu. The show started at 9pm which is 10pm of Malaysia time, so agak lama menunggu disitu, firework punya pasal. Then after the firework show, our driver immediately WhatsApp us, he has waited for us. Punctual gila! Then otw balik tu singgah jap pasar tepi jalan tu beli some fruit untuk dibuat bekal esok harinya, maka berkahirlah hari pertama di Phu Quoc.

  • Grandworld (11/5 Saturday)
  • Ticket Fee: Free

Today, we decided to take the bus. There's a free bus that goes to Vinwonder which is Vinbus (Green color), but before that, we chose to make a stop at Grandworld, which is one stop before Vinwonder. The bus route needs to study first sebab ada certain bus top dia berhenti, so boleh refer ni

Sampai2 je Grandworld, ada orang approach ajak naik tuktuk tour dia huhu. Pantang Nampak tourist, so kitaorang decided untuk naik je tuktuk dia which is cost us around VND 80k untuk 7 orang RM14+. So the tour bawa pusing2 satu Grandworl tu. The moment we stepped into this place, we were captivated by its beauty. The European-style colorful buildings added a vibrant touch to the surroundings. Still the area seems like ghost town, nothing much to explore but the area tu lawa lah. Memang setiap sudut tu spot untuk bergambar, cantik memang cantik. Then my parent decided to try their water taxi ala2 Italy. The water taxi provides a convenient and scenic mode of transportation to explore the area which is cost per RM30+ per person huhu.

The weather is unbearable, scorching hot. Please bring your own umbrella, handheld fan, or electric fan, bring everything because it's extremely hot. Panas memang tak boleh bawa bincang. So just spend around 1 to 2 hours pun dah cukup sebab nothing much to do. Then we moving to go to the Vinownder, cari punya cari bus stop dalam 30min kena tunggu then ada tuktuk approach untuk hantar kan around VND 60k from 150k rasanya untuk 7 orang, we nego lah huhu. Like tak dapat pun takpe atleast nanti ada bus sebab 1 station je lagi, then the tutktuk driver pun okay untuk hantarkan walaupun harga macam murah. Biasanya diaorang okay kalau kita nego walaupun murah sebab diaorang takde kerja, memang mengharapkan tourist so no matter what they will grab the price at least they got something.

  • Vinwonder (11/5 Saturday)
  • Ticket Fee: RM 167

We reached Vinwonder around 12.30, so it was quite late, as the theme park is huge to explore. Again, panas gila! my suggestion you guys boleh skip some of it sebab untuk kids, daripada bazir masa dengan panasnya lagi so better go to the main attraction je. Boleh skip Fantasy World and Mysterious Viking Village. Viking Village ni ada macam District 21, Escape Petaling Jaya macam tu lah, so kalau rasa minat nak try just go for it lah.

Then kitaorang direct ke The Sea Shell, our main focus huhu sebab nice gila dalam ni plus sejuk dapat lah healing dalam ni. The aquarium here is incredibly spacious, even larger than Aquaria KLCC. Moreover, during my visit, there was a show going on, allowing us to enjoy the performance. The size of the place itself is remarkable, offering a wide variety of fish and even penguins, which was truly delightful. Unlike Aquaria, where the entrance fee is quite high, here you pay RM167 and get much more value for your money, making it a very worthwhile experience. Before that kitaorang rehat kejap untuk solat dekat area Fantasy World tu ada tempat ala2 Egpyt tapi untuk kid area, tanya staff situ ada surau tak and ofcoz lah takde then dia offer untuk pinjam tumpang solat dekat Kawasan tu like bagus gila staff dia. Plus tempat tu memang takde orang pun so okay lah dekat pula tu dengan tandas.

Then we direct to our Adventure World, tak theme park lah kalau nak naik roller coster diaorang kan, so kitaorang pulun almost semua ride dia. It was quite enjoyable, and just a heads up, some attractions have their own operating hours, so it's essential to check when they are open. The theme park also features a water park included in the ticket, but as it was already late and we planned to visit the water park the next day, we decided to skip it. Everyone was exhausted and feeling dizzy by then.

Petang tu tunggu untuk show penutup depan castle tu, by then everyone dah ready on that time. Before that we did buy ticket yang included Free Voucher Meal, puas juga cari yang jual ticket saja and mostly semua jual ticket included dengan voucher meal. Since we've already made the purchase, it's better to use it rather than waste it. It's like when sorang receives a RM50 meal voucher, it's more beneficial to make full use of it. At that time, we chose to redeem it by buying drinks, bread, or kalau rasa yakin could try their vegetable pizza ke. Show penutup tu best gila sangat berpuas hati lah, memang berbaloi gila!

Balik tu we plan untuk balik naik bas je, then bas macam penuh sangat then the grab driver approach us offer nak hantar dalam VND 350K, we nego make it VND 300k and just proceed sebab dah barai sangat kalau nak naik bas plus ada yang dah pening sakit kaki huhu.

Tips, for those yang nak datang Vinwonder are suggested untuk beli ticket direct to their website much cheaper compare to other platform. Refer here https://vinwonders.com/en/vinwonders-phu-quoc/

  • Sun World Hon Thom (12/5 Sunday)
  • Ticket Fee: RM 120

Today we plan to go to the Sun World Hon Thom, naik cable car terpanjang. From hotel we deal dengan grab yang pick us malam semalam, senang cerita. It turns out they have a schedule for when the cable car operates. For example, even though Google shows it opens at 9 a.m., they have their trips scheduled, with the next one around 10:30 a.m. So, we ended up waiting for about 30 minutes at the lobby. The ticket we have purchased it online through Klook, easy!

The cable car ride itself was breathtaking, offering panoramic views of the surrounding water and islands. The cabins were comfortable and provided a smooth and enjoyable journey.

Once we reached the island, we were amazed by the Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park. The park is beautifully designed, with a mountain cable car station and a shopping hub inspired by Ancient Rome. It truly adds to the overall experience. Sampai2 je we headed up to the Exotica Park, to ride the wooden roller coaster huhu lepastu healing2 naik ala Menara taming sari, dapat tengok the whole area Sun World Hon Thom tu dari atas.

One of the highlights of our visit was the island's water park. It was a perfect way to cool off and have some fun. The water park had a variety of slides, pools, and attractions that catered to both kids and adults. We had a blast exploring the different water activities available. Tips, please bawa kasut yang jenis mandi tu sebab dekat sana panas gila, bila berjalan atas tu barefoot, memang ibarat jalan atas bara api sebab panas gila. The overall experience of the ride was fantastic. We had a great time there, and the area was not as crowded as Sunway Lagoon, which was a relief. We could immediately enjoy the slides without having to wait in long queues. Tips, dia ada banyak pondok2 kecil tu just guna je kalau takde orang reserved sebab dapat tempat berehat and berteduh so no need lah nak sewa locker Bagai. Plus kita dapat nak solat dekat situ. We spend dekat sana sampai last trip naik cable car lah sebab memang best.

  • Kissing Bridge (12/5 Sunday)
  • Ticket Fee: Included (Sun World Hon Thom Ticket)

Our ticket also included access to the Kissing Bridge in Sunset Town. Despite being tired, we still managed to make our way there to enjoy the sunset ambiance. There was a water jet show happening at that time, but we could only catch a glimpse of it as our Grab driver was about to arrive.

  • Sanato Beach (12/5 Sunday)
  • Ticket Fee: RM 16

On the way balik tu we request dekat grab driver nak singgah Sanato Beach jap then dia agree untuk layan kitaorang lol. Sonato Beach was on our way back, so we decided to make a quick stop. The entrance fee was around RM6 per person as it is a private beach owned by Sonato Hotel. Basically there are some iconic statue lah represent Phu Quoc which is the elephant statue on the beach. Ibaratnya tak Phu Quoc lah kalau tak datang situ lol. We spent about 30 minutes there before continuing our journey.

  • Phu Quoc Night Market (12/5 Sunday)
  • Ticket Fee: Free

Balik tu kitaorang request nak singgah pasar malam diaorang, yelah last night before nak balik plus nak cari souvenir. The grab driver said must add on another VND 150K macam tu sebab dia depan sikit dari hotel kitaorang dekat area pekan. Spend dalam 1jam macam tu dekat situ. Tips, for those looking to purchase souvenirs, it's recommended to buy them here at here pasar malam as they are much more affordable! Then after that we head back to the hotel.

  • Duong Dong Town
  • Ticket Fee: Free

Since today is our last day at Phu Quoc, we decided to chill around the town by motor. We rent the motor at the hotel for half day cost us around VND 80K. We head to the Sao Beach around 30min macam tu. This is one of the more beautiful beaches in Phu Quoc Island, with clear blue water, swaying palm trees, white and fine sand, and beautiful scenery.

  • Sao Beach
  • Ticket Fee: Free
Sao Beach is a notable white-sand beach with clear waters, perfect for water sports and relaxation. The beach offers chair rentals, eateries, and scenic views. It is a great spot to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Phu Quoc Island. Sao beach ni air dia crystal water memang cantik dari Sanato beach, kiranya underated beach lah. Plus pergi pagi waktu tu memang takde orang langsung so dapat lah heaing2 kejap sebelum nak balik.

Then we head back to the town and make a quick stop at the King Kong mart, dia macam Giant rasanya plus semua benda ada dalam tu even souvenir plus boleh tahan murah. Around 11 macam tu we waited for our grab driver to pick up us from the hotel. The driver offer us to stop at the Pearl Farm before head to the airport. The Pearl Farm ni sebenarnya macam kedai emas tapi Mutiara huhu. After that kitaorang terus kan perjalan ke airport. Check-in semua and wait for depart. Maka berkahirlah percutian kami di Phu Quoc.

  • Accommodation

For accommodation we decided to go with Valentina Villa Residence Resort & Spa, at first ingat nak book je Airnb which is lagi senang for all of us but then tengok harga hotel2 dekat Phu Quoc quite affordable then we just proceed to booking je. We booked 1 family room & 1 deluxe room which cost us around RM 800+ macam tu untuk 3 malam. The resort offers a range of amenities and services that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel offers breakfast, but it's just the usual fare - pancakes, toast, sandwiches, bread, and fruit jadilah buat ghaso2. The hotel kena masuk dalam sikit dari jalan besar around 5min walking macam tu kalau nak pergi dekat bus stop. One of the highlights of the resort is the beautiful pool, surrounded by lush gardens. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries.

  • Transportation

For transportation, mostly we rely on Grab je senang tapi tak melalui direct through Grab pun more on personal deal dengan Grab driver, but the fees based on the grab price lah. Atleast we can negotiate with them if book though Grab the prices is fixed. Hotel transfer we deal dengan hotel untuk arrangekan grab. There got free bus as mention but not cover until southern area, if want to go Sunset town then kena cari alternative lain like rent a motor or grab. Since pergi dengan family, senang lagi gerak sekali naik grab, easy! Sewa motor dekat sana pun quite affordable so kalau berdua sewa motor mungkin okay.

  • Food & Meal

Bab makan ni orang kita sensitive sikit, mostly tanya makan macam susah tak and jawapannya yes agak susah but kitaorang dah biasa backpack kalau travel so memang akan bawa bekal siap2 dari Malaysia lah citer dia. We bring our own dendeng daging hitam, nasi impit, Maggie, instant food, and some bread. There got the only 1 halal restaurant which is Sri Mutiara, pagi2 pukul 7 dah buka but we didn’t manage to get there sebab pack sangat jadual huhu berjalan sampai ke malam, pagi pula dah ada breakfast. Pergi Vinwonder theme park boleh bawa bekal dari luar and pergi Hon Thom cable car semua boleh bawa bekal, so manfaatkan lah Cuma rajiin tak rajiin je nak mengusung.

  • Wifi/Simcard

I did buy the e-sim through kkday buy 1 free 1 5gb for 30 day, jadilah just nak buat explore navigation je. The rest banyak rely on wifi, oh ye dekat Phu Quoc tu merata wifi free sangat2 lah bagus ye, dekat Sunset Town, Hon Thom, Vinwonder and merata lah semua ada wifi. Hotel dah sah2 memang ada wifi so no need to spend much on buy the pocket wifi sampai RM100+ ke. So family banyak rely on wifi lah plus dah penat sangat tah sempat nak guna pun wifi nya. Plus easy to use and claim, they will provide instant code to activate the e-sim. Refer here https://www.kkday.com/en-my/product/32485-viet-nam-travel-4g-sim-card?cid=4904&ud1=detail-share&ud2=app-ios
